- 4 cod fillets
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- Juice of 1 lemon
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the butter and let it melt until bubbling.
- Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until golden and fragrant.
- Pat the cod fillets dry and season generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Place the seasoned fillets in the skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden and flaky.
- Flip the cod gently and cook until no longer translucent, then squeeze lemon juice over the top.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve.
Notes
For variations, try using lime or orange juice, add fresh herbs, or serve with sautéed spinach or roasted asparagus.
