Description

A delightful twist on traditional meatloaf, incorporating classic Italian flavors for a comforting meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup marinara sauce
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Gather your ingredients into a large mixing bowl.
  3. Add the ground chicken, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan, chopped parsley, egg, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
  4. Mix until just combined, without overmixing.
  5. Form half of the mixture into an elongated loaf shape in a baking dish.
  6. Create a well in the center and add mozzarella cheese.
  7. Encapsulate the cheese with the remainder of the meat mixture.
  8. Spread marinara sauce over the top and optionally sprinkle with breadcrumbs.
  9. Bake for 45-55 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  10. Allow to cool for a few moments before slicing.
