- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup festive sprinkles (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a small bowl, whisk together the flour and baking soda.
- In a larger bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated and brown sugars, and salt until light and fluffy.
- Add the vanilla extract and eggs, one at a time, beating until combined.
- Fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Add chocolate chips and festive sprinkles, folding them into the dough.
- Using an ice cream scoop, drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing them apart.
- Bake for 9 to 11 minutes, or until edges are golden and centers are puffed.
- Let cool on baking sheets for a few minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
