Description

A delightful blend of spices and toasted pecans, perfect for snacking or gifting.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups pecan halves
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter, then stir in the granulated sugar and brown sugar.
  3. Add the ground ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt, and stir until well combined.
  4. Stir in the pecan halves until they are fully coated with the mixture.
  5. Spread the pecans in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes, stirring halfway through until golden brown.
  7. Remove from oven and allow to cool on the baking sheet before transferring to an airtight container.

Notes

Consider adding a pinch of cayenne for a spicy kick or tossing with coarse sea salt after baking for a sweet and salty treat.
