- 1 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1 cup vegetable oil or melted butter
- 4 large eggs
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt

- 2 cups chopped pecans
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare your baking dish by greasing or lining it with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine granulated sugar, light brown sugar, vegetable oil (or melted butter), and eggs. Whisk until smooth and glossy.
- In a medium mixing bowl, mix together all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Fold in the vanilla extract.
- Fold in the chopped pecans until evenly distributed in the batter.
- Spread the batter evenly in the prepared baking dish and bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool completely before slicing into squares. Serve warm or at room temperature.
