Description

A vibrant twist on a classic appetizer, these Spicy Chili Garlic Deviled Eggs are infused with chili oil and garlic for a bold flavor that’s perfect for any gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons chili crisp or chili garlic oil
  • 1 teaspoon toasted sesame seeds
  • 1 garlic clove (minced, optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon soy sauce or tamari
  • Fresh cilantro or scallions (finely chopped)
  • Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon sriracha or hot sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon rice vinegar or lemon juice
  • Pinch of sugar

Instructions

  1. Place the eggs in a medium saucepan and cover with water. Bring to a boil, then remove from heat and cover for 10-12 minutes.
  2. Transfer the eggs to an ice bath to cool, then peel and cut each egg in half lengthwise, scooping out the yolks into a mixing bowl.
  3. Mash the yolks with a whisk or fork, then mix in the mayonnaise and Dijon mustard until smooth. Season with salt and black pepper.
  4. In a small bowl, combine the chili oil, sesame seeds, minced garlic (if using), soy sauce or tamari, and sugar. Mix well.
  5. Fill the egg whites with the yolk mixture using a piping bag or spoon, then drizzle the chili topping over the filled eggs.
  6. Garnish with fresh cilantro or scallions and a pinch of red pepper flakes, if desired.

Notes

Feel free to customize with seasonal herbs, different hot sauces, or even crispy bacon for added texture.
