Instructions

  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, almond extract, and egg. Stir until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, and salt, then gradually fold it into the ricotta mixture until a smooth dough forms.
  4. Fold in slivered almonds gently into the dough.
  5. Scoop out small portions of dough and shape them into pillows or balls, placing them on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 15-18 minutes until they puff up and turn golden brown.
  7. Remove from the oven and transfer to a wire rack to cool.
  8. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
