Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking sheet with butter or oil (or line it with parchment paper).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, almond extract, and egg. Stir until smooth.
- In another bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, and salt, then gradually fold it into the ricotta mixture until a smooth dough forms.
- Fold in slivered almonds gently into the dough.
- Scoop out small portions of dough and shape them into pillows or balls, placing them on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes until they puff up and turn golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and transfer to a wire rack to cool.
- Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
