Description
A hearty and easy one-pot meal, this slow cooker steak and potatoes recipe delivers tender beef, buttery potatoes, and deep savory flavor with minimal prep.
Ingredients
2 lbs chuck or round steak, cubed
1.5 lbs baby potatoes, halved
3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp dried thyme
Salt and pepper to taste
1 cup beef broth
Instructions
1. Add halved baby potatoes to the bottom of your slow cooker.
2. Place seasoned raw steak cubes on top.
3. In a small bowl, mix melted butter, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
4. Pour the butter mixture over the steak and potatoes.
5. Add beef broth over everything.
6. Cover and cook on LOW for 6–8 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours.
7. Gently stir before serving. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
Notes
No need to brown the steak first unless extra flavor is desired.
You can substitute red potatoes or russet chunks if preferred.
Leftovers make great steak hash, tacos, or meal prep bowls.
