Description

This slow cooker skirt steak is a flavorful, tender, and easy crock pot meal perfect for tacos, sandwiches, or rice bowls.


Ingredients

2 lbs skirt steak

1 onion, sliced

4 cloves garlic, minced

2 tbsp soy sauce

1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

1 tsp cumin

1/2 tsp smoked paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

1/2 cup beef broth


Instructions

1. Season skirt steak with salt, pepper, cumin, and paprika.

2. (Optional) Sear steak in a hot skillet for 1–2 minutes per side.

3. Place onions and garlic in the bottom of the slow cooker.

4. Add skirt steak on top of vegetables.

5. Pour soy sauce, Worcestershire, and broth over everything.

6. Cover and cook on LOW for 8–9 hours or HIGH for 5–6 hours.

7. Shred the beef using two forks and mix with juices.

8. Serve in tacos, over rice, or with mashed potatoes.

Notes

You can freeze leftovers in airtight containers up to 3 months.

Searing before slow cooking is optional but adds deeper flavor.
