- 1 cup corned beef, chopped
- 1 cup Swiss cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup sauerkraut, drained and chopped
- 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Oil, for frying
- For Spicy Thousand Island Dipping Sauce:
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1 tablespoon relish
- 1 teaspoon hot sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine chopped corned beef, Swiss cheese, and chopped sauerkraut.
- Add softened cream cheese, beaten egg, mustard, garlic powder, and half of the breadcrumbs. Mix well until combined.
- Form the mixture into small balls and roll them in the remaining breadcrumbs.
- Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Carefully add the Reuben balls without overcrowding the pan.
- Fry for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown. Transfer to a paper towel to drain excess oil.
- In a small bowl, mix together mayonnaise, ketchup, relish, hot sauce, salt, and pepper to create the dipping sauce.
- Serve Reuben balls warm with the dipping sauce on the side.
