Ingredients

- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
- 3/4 cup warm milk
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1 large egg
- Jam of your choice (raspberry, strawberry, or lemon curd)
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Pour warm milk into a large bowl, sprinkle in sugar, and stir in yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes.
- Add flour, salt, melted butter, and egg to the yeast mixture. Mix until a soft dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Roll out the risen dough and create indentations for filling with jam.
- Fill each well with jam and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool slightly on a wire rack and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
