Description

A comforting dish that brings the classic flavors of Philly’s iconic sandwich into a bowl, perfect for gatherings or cozy meals.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound steak, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded provolone cheese

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add sliced onions, bell peppers, and mushrooms. Sauté until soft.
  2. Push the vegetables to the side and add the sliced steak to the skillet. Season with salt and pepper, cooking until the steak is browned.
  3. Remove the skillet from heat and top with shredded provolone cheese, covering until melted.
  4. Serve the mixture in bowls, optionally adding fresh herbs or other toppings.

Notes

For variations, consider adding roasted pumpkin for fall flavors or swapping steak for chicken for a lighter option.
