Description

Delight in these Pan-Fried Veggie Buns that combine a crispy golden exterior with a flavorful, tender filling. Perfect for gatherings or cozy nights in.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 cup cabbage, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup vermicelli noodles, soaked and chopped
  • 1/2 cup carrots, grated
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Mix flour and salt in a large bowl. Gradually add warm water and vegetable oil, stirring until a dough forms. Knead until smooth, then let it rest for 30 minutes.
  2. Heat oil in a skillet, sauté garlic until golden, then add cabbage, carrots, and green onions. Cook until softened. Add vermicelli and soy sauce, mixing well. Let it cool.
  3. Divide dough into small balls and roll out each into a circle. Place filling in the center, fold, and pinch edges to seal.
  4. Heat oil in a skillet, fry buns until golden, then add a splash of water and cover to steam until cooked through.
  5. Serve hot with soy sauce or dipping sauce.

Notes

For variations, try adding cooked tofu for protein or spices for extra kick.
