Description

A delicious and easy keto pizza casserole made with your favorite toppings, perfect for family gatherings or meal prep.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef or Italian sausage
  • 1 cup marinara sauce (low carb)
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup sliced pepperoni (or turkey pepperoni)
  • 1 bell pepper, diced (red or green)
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for heat)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)


Instructions

  1. Brown the meat in a skillet over medium heat for 5-7 minutes until golden brown. Drain excess grease.
  2. Add diced onion and bell pepper, cooking for an additional 4-5 minutes until softened.
  3. Pour in the marinara sauce and add garlic powder, dried oregano, and red pepper flakes. Stir until mixed.
  4. Assemble the casserole in a baking dish by layering half of the meat mixture, cheese, the remaining meat mixture, pepperoni, and then another layer of cheese.
  5. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes until cheese is melted and golden brown.
