- 1/2 cup milk

- 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast

Instructions
- Dissolve the yeast in warm water and let it rest.
- In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt.
- Add the milk and the yeast mixture to the dry ingredients, mixing until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes, then cover and let it rise in a warm spot for 1 hour.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle, place the cold butter in the center, and fold the dough over the butter.
- Roll out the dough again and fold it into thirds. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- Repeat the rolling and folding process two more times.
- Roll out the dough to 1/4 inch thick, cut into triangles, and roll them from base to tip.
- Place the croissants on a baking sheet, let them rise for another 30 minutes, and preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Brush the croissants with egg wash and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
