Description

A nourishing start to the day, perfect for busy mornings or as an afternoon snack, these Healthy Breakfast Cereal Bars are packed with wholesome ingredients.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup nut butter (almond or peanut butter)
  • 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (almonds or walnuts)
  • 1/2 cup dried fruit (raisins or cranberries)
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
  • A pinch of salt


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8 inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine rolled oats, chopped nuts, and dried fruit.
  3. In a saucepan over low heat, mix nut butter, honey or maple syrup, cinnamon, and salt until smooth.
  4. Pour the nut butter mixture over the oat mixture and stir until fully combined.
  5. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish, pressing down firmly to create an even layer.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and set.
  7. Allow to cool completely before lifting out and slicing into bars.

Notes
