Delightful ham and cheese puff pastry trees, perfect for Christmas gatherings and celebrations.
Ingredients

- 2 sheets puff pastry (thawed)
- 12 slices of deli ham (thinly sliced)
- 12 slices of cheese (cheddar, gouda, Swiss, or mozzarella)
- 24 wooden skewers
- 4 tbsp melted butter
- 2 tsp minced garlic
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
- Sprinkle of sesame or poppy seeds (optional)
- Thin layer of honey mustard or fig jam (optional)
- Star-shaped cheese cutouts for a decorative “tree topper”
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Lay one sheet of puff pastry on a floured surface, cover with 6 slices of cheese, then add 6 slices of ham.
- Place the second puff pastry sheet over the layered ingredients and press edges to seal.
- Cut the layered pastry into 1-inch wide strips.
- Fold each strip back and forth onto a wooden skewer to form the tree shape.
- In a small bowl, whisk melted butter, minced garlic, and parsley, then brush this mixture over the assembled trees.
- If desired, sprinkle sesame or poppy seeds over the trees.
- Place trees on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
