- 1 pound roast beef, thinly sliced
- 12 slider buns
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- 6 slices Swiss cheese
- 1 cup au jus for dipping
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Slice the slider buns in half and lay the bottom halves in a baking dish.
- Layer the roast beef evenly onto each bottom bun.
- Add the caramelized onions on top of the roast beef.
- Place a slice of Swiss cheese over each mound of beef and onions.
- Brush the tops of the buns with a mixture of melted butter, black pepper, and garlic powder.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes until golden brown.
- Serve warm on a platter with au jus for dipping.
Notes
For added flavor, consider adding sautéed mushrooms or horseradish to the beef. You can also make a vegetarian version using caramelized portobello mushrooms.
