Description
Spicy, juicy firecracker steak and shrimp seared in garlic chili sauce, ready in 30 minutes. This bold protein-packed dinner delivers restaurant flavor at home.
Ingredients
2 New York strip steaks (or chuck steak, 1-inch thick)
1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp sriracha or hot chili sauce
1 tbsp honey
1 tbsp brown sugar
4 garlic cloves, minced
1 tsp ground ginger
1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
2 green onions, sliced
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Pat steaks and shrimp dry. Season with salt and pepper.
2. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, sriracha, honey, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, and chili flakes.
3. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a skillet. Sear steaks 3-4 minutes per side for medium rare. Transfer to plate.
4. Add 1 tbsp oil to skillet. Cook shrimp for 1-2 minutes per side.
5. Pour in sauce. Simmer 2-3 minutes until thickened. Return steak and shrimp to pan, toss to coat.
6. Top with green onions. Serve hot with rice or vegetables.
Notes
Use ribeye or skirt steak if preferred.
Adjust sriracha based on heat tolerance.
Double sauce for extra glaze.
