Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook spaghetti or fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a skillet, heat extra virgin olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until golden brown.
- Add diced tomatoes, salt, and pepper. Cook until tomatoes soften and release juices.
- Stir in heavy cream and let the sauce simmer for about five minutes.
- Add the drained pasta to the skillet, tossing to coat with the creamy sauce.
- Serve garnished with fresh basil and optional grated Parmesan cheese.
