Ingredients

Scale
  • 20 oz cheese tortellini
  • 1 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye)
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup whole milk
  • 1 1/4 cups parmesan, shredded
  • Parsley, chopped (optional)

  • Cracked black pepper (optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the cheese tortellini according to package instructions.
  2. Season the steak with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika, then cut into bite-sized cubes.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and sear the steak cubes for 3-4 minutes until golden crusted.
  4. Remove the steak from the skillet and add minced garlic, cooking for about a minute.
  5. Add butter to the skillet, melt, and then pour in heavy cream and milk, whisking to blend.
  6. Stir in parmesan until melted and adjust seasoning as needed.
  7. Combine the cooked tortellini and steak into the creamy sauce and simmer for a couple of minutes.
  8. Serve in bowls, garnished with parsley, red pepper flakes, and cracked black pepper.

Notes

For creative twists, consider using seasonal tortellini or adding different cheeses and protein options.
