- 1 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye)
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4 tbsp butter
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3/4 cup whole milk
- 1 1/4 cups parmesan, shredded
- Parsley, chopped (optional)
- Red pepper flakes (optional)
- Cracked black pepper (optional garnish)
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the cheese tortellini according to package instructions.
- Season the steak with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika, then cut into bite-sized cubes.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and sear the steak cubes for 3-4 minutes until golden crusted.
- Remove the steak from the skillet and add minced garlic, cooking for about a minute.
- Add butter to the skillet, melt, and then pour in heavy cream and milk, whisking to blend.
- Stir in parmesan until melted and adjust seasoning as needed.
- Combine the cooked tortellini and steak into the creamy sauce and simmer for a couple of minutes.
- Serve in bowls, garnished with parsley, red pepper flakes, and cracked black pepper.
