- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 8 slices bacon
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
- 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Cook the bacon in a large oven-safe skillet over medium heat until crispy (about 5–7 minutes), then set aside on paper towels.
- Rub the chicken breasts with olive oil and season with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Sear the chicken in the skillet over medium-high heat for 4–5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Lower the heat to medium and pour barbecue sauce over the chicken, then sprinkle cheddar cheese and crumbled bacon on top.
- Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 10–12 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and cheese is melted.
- Garnish with chopped green onions and red pepper flakes if desired before serving.
