- 1 package puff pastry sheets (thawed)
- 2 cups ricotta cheese (well-drained)
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
- 1 tablespoon orange zest
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- Optional: confectioner’s sugar and chopped pistachios for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out the thawed puff pastry sheets to about ¼ inch thickness and cut into 3×3 inch squares.
- In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. Stir in mini chocolate chips, orange zest, and cinnamon.
- Place one tablespoon of the filling on the center of each pastry square, fold to form triangles, and seal the edges with a fork.
- Arrange on a parchment-lined baking sheet and brush with beaten egg wash.
- Bake for about 15 minutes or until golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly, then dust with confectioner’s sugar and sprinkle with pistachios if desired.
