- 4 croissants, torn into pieces
- 4 eggs
- 2 cups milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3/4 cup chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, heavy cream, sugar, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and salt.
- Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish and layer the torn croissant pieces in the dish.
- Sprinkle chocolate chips over the croissant pieces.
- Pour the egg mixture evenly over the croissants, pressing down gently to allow soaking.
- Let the mixture sit for 15 minutes to soak.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes until the top is golden brown and custard is set.
- Allow to rest for a few minutes before serving warm, optionally dusting with powdered sugar or adding whipped cream.
