Description

A decadent breakfast bake made with flaky croissants, rich chocolate, and creamy custard, perfect for brunch or cozy gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 4 croissants, torn into pieces
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, heavy cream, sugar, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and salt.
  3. Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish and layer the torn croissant pieces in the dish.
  4. Sprinkle chocolate chips over the croissant pieces.
  5. Pour the egg mixture evenly over the croissants, pressing down gently to allow soaking.
  6. Let the mixture sit for 15 minutes to soak.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes until the top is golden brown and custard is set.
  8. Allow to rest for a few minutes before serving warm, optionally dusting with powdered sugar or adding whipped cream.
