- 1 package Little Smokies (mini smoked sausages)
- 1 package regular-cut bacon (cut in half)
- 1 cup brown sugar
- Black pepper (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
- Cut the bacon in half. Wrap each Little Smokies with a half slice of bacon and secure with a toothpick.
- Place the brown sugar in a zip-top bag and add the bacon-wrapped smokies. Coat them with the sugar by shaking the bag.
- Arrange the coated smokies on the baking sheet in a single layer, adding more brown sugar and black pepper if desired.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes until the bacon is crispy and the sugar is caramelized. Broil for an extra 1-2 minutes for added crispiness.
- Allow to cool slightly, then transfer to a serving dish and enjoy.
Notes
For additional flavor, try pumpkin pie spice in the fall or jalapeño bacon for a spicy kick. You can also make this vegetarian or use turkey bacon for a healthier option.
