Description

Ingredients

  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 4 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/3 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 3 tablespoons avocado oil
  • 4 tablespoons honey
  • 1/3 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 2 green onions, sliced (for serving)
  • Steamed rice or quinoa (for serving)


Instructions

  1. Toss the chicken pieces with cornstarch and kosher salt in a medium bowl.
  2. Heat avocado oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Place the coated chicken pieces in the skillet and cook undisturbed for 4-5 minutes until golden and crispy.
  4. Flip the chicken and cook for another 2 minutes.
  5. Whisk together honey, chicken broth, and soy sauce in a small bowl.
  6. Push chicken to one side of the skillet and sauté minced garlic for 2 minutes.
  7. Pour honey-soy mixture over chicken and stir to coat.
  8. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens and chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
  9. Garnish with sliced green onions and serve over steamed rice or quinoa.
