- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 4 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1/3 teaspoon kosher salt
- 3 tablespoons avocado oil
- 4 tablespoons honey
- 1/3 cup chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 2 green onions, sliced (for serving)
- Steamed rice or quinoa (for serving)
Instructions
- Toss the chicken pieces with cornstarch and kosher salt in a medium bowl.
- Heat avocado oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Place the coated chicken pieces in the skillet and cook undisturbed for 4-5 minutes until golden and crispy.
- Flip the chicken and cook for another 2 minutes.
- Whisk together honey, chicken broth, and soy sauce in a small bowl.
- Push chicken to one side of the skillet and sauté minced garlic for 2 minutes.
- Pour honey-soy mixture over chicken and stir to coat.
- Simmer for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens and chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
- Garnish with sliced green onions and serve over steamed rice or quinoa.
